i am becoming a couch potato and a big fat pig...... *screams*
ya.... i guess you can guess how i spend my days... eat, sleep, play, watch tv.... so boring right....
anyway, just a quick update.... i actually wanted to work to earn some money for my further studies.... but mi mum and dad adviced me not to break the momentum.... it would be better if i had a degree then look for a job.... what they say is right.... in singapore, paper qualification is still very important.... so ya.... i went to look for information about the various unis....
but then.... both NTU and NUS already closed their application to poly grads..... so ya... if i want to study there... i would need to wait for a year.... which means i would still have to look for a job for the time being..... BUT both NUS and NTU so far away.... travelling there would be so troublesome.....
here got another BUT.... i was kinda interested in the Business course NTU is offering cause it has tourism and hospitality management specialisation.... it would be something i am interested in......
then the course offered by SMU is 4 years.... but really nothing much to do with tourism..... another + point for SMU is that is nearer to my house then compared to the other 2 unis.... all i have to do is take either 36 or 14.... then in less than an hour.... i would be able to reach.... my parents keep telling me to take SMU because of the convenience..... dun have to spend so much money on getting there, no need to stay in hostel.... still can eat at home.....
i was so "fan" yesterday lor.... part of me wanted to do the NTU course.... then it's like SMU so near..... so "fan"..... in the end it took me so long to go through what i would be getting into if i were to go to NTU, NUS and SMU.... after reading through everything, i realised that the so called tourism course offered by NTU isn't that interesting after all..... it sounds as if i did some of their modules n they are not what i wanna do.... got something like introduction to HTM, economics of tourism (like what is that??) , electronic distribution (like e biz??), facility management and design, revenue management, services operations management..... not forgetting the usual stuff like accounting, stats, ob etc.....
anyway, i really wanna thank my best friends PS and Jieting for their advice and support... thanks guys.... for telling me to follow my heart and that you guys will support the decision that i make....
and so.... finally, i have decided to apply for SMU....Bachelor of Business Management.... apparently, it is a 4 year direct honours programme.... so ya... bye bye holiday and hello to text books (if i manage to get a place in SMU) for 4 years..... which means i will be 24 by the time i finish studying.... *screams*
